Sigh of Relief

This could possibly be the most anticipated National Football League season yet. The season was put into question after the 2010 season when the league entered into the NFL’s longest ever lockout.  The dispute was revolving around the fact that the owners were losing money because they are paying the players too much.  Thoughts of pay cuts and lengthening the season two more games were talked about but never settled the argument.  After many months in contention, the owners and players finally came to an agreement.  The owners proposed, and the players association approved of the new collective bargaining agreement early this August. The 2011 season is to be in full affect this next Thursday, September 8th.  The opening game will be with the Super Bowl champion Green Bay Packers who will be hosting the New Orleans Saints.  Whether you are a fan of these teams or not ,it will be an exciting day for NFL football fans across the globe.  Not only does this season represent more money for the players, owners, and broadcasting companies, but also something more valuable for NFL fantasy football owners.  Bragging rights is the main motivation for most fantasy owners everywhere.  With the season just under two weeks away, these leagues are getting together to set up for the most exciting time of the year, football season!  So get that grill fired up and stay tuned in to my blog for the latest updates and predictions for this year’s 2011 National Football League fantasy season.
